OSHA unveils preliminary Top 10 list of most frequently cited standards
Posted October 24, 2018
Patrick Kapust, Deputy Director of OSHA’s Directorate of Enforcement Programs (DEP), announced the Agency’s “top 10 violations” for fiscal year 2018, during a technical session at the National Safety Council Congress and Expo in Houston, Texas.
Kapust pointed out that the list, which rarely changes from year to year, is still preliminary. He said the list of the top most-cited violations may be a good starting point for employers who want to improve their safety and health programs.
New to the top ten list this year is PPE – eye and face protection (1926.102), which is the tenth most frequently cited violation.
