When do drivers have to stop and check their cargo straps?
Commercial drivers are required to inspect their cargo securement systems en route, to make sure all cargo remains properly secured. An inspection is required within the first 50 miles, and then at every change in duty status or after driving for 3 hours or 150 miles, whichever occurs first.
