Handling and Securing Cargo for Construction - Online Training Course

Professional drivers must know how to properly handle, secure, and safely deliver construction-related cargo. Making sure cargo arrives on time is important, but it is not the entire focus of the job. A driver must make many choices when securing cargo to make sure they avoid cargo and vehicle damage, injuries, and possible fines.

This training is designed to help learners load and secure cargo for delivery to, or transportation away from, construction sites.

After completing this training, learners will be able to:

• Identify who must follow cargo securement regulations
• Explain how to place and secure cargo of varying weights and lengths
• Discuss how to secure different types of cargo in different types of vehicles
