Racial minorities will make up the majority of the country’s population sometime between 2041 and 2046, according to U.S. Census Bureau data. Add in age, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender identity, disability, socio-economic class, and other differences and it is clear that workplace diversity is no longer an aspiration, but a reality.
Unfortunately, discrimination is a reality in today’s workplace. The good news is effective training can help prevent illegal discrimination by improving the perception employees have of their diverse workplaces.
