Caught-in/-between hazards in construction can lead to serious injuries. These injuries occur when a person is squeezed, caught, crushed, pinched, or compressed between two or more objects, or parts of an object. Workers need to know the hazards involved and how to stay safe.
This training is designed to teach workers how to recognize and avoid caught-in or between hazards.
- Describe caught-in or -caught-between hazards.
- Identify the major types of caught-in or -caught-between hazards in construction.
- Explain how to protect yourself from caught-in or -caught-between hazards.
- Recognize employer requirements to protect workers from caught-in or -caught-between hazards.
