MSHA provides compliance assistance with new webpage
August 12, 2025
The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) launched a webpage for its new Compliance Assistance in Safety and Health (CASH) program. The agency anticipates a surge in U.S. domestic mining productivity driven by the national demand for critical minerals as outlined in Executive Order 14154, “Unleashing American Energy.” The CASH program is the agency’s response to this anticipated demand.
The program offers the following support materials for new, inexperienced (less than one year of experience), and newly hired experienced miners:
- Direct access to Compliance Assistant Specialists,
- A toolkit for new operators and miners,
- Printable resources and compliance guides,
- Access to the MSHA Information Hub,
- One-pagers explaining MSHA program areas, and
- Ongoing updates and future materials.
More information can be found at msha.gov.
