OSHA publishes Form 300A data for 2022

April 12, 2023

In an effort to increase employer compliance, OSHA has published 2022 injury and illness data based on reports by more than 300,000 establishments. Employers can use this data to help identify unsafe conditions and hazards to reduce the number of injuries and illnesses within the workplace. OSHA also expects the information to improve research on the occurrence, prevention, and control of workplace hazards, injuries, and illnesses.

As part of OSHA’s electronic recordkeeping requirements, certain establishments are required to submit their Form 300A data annually:

  • Establishments with 250 or more employees required to keep OSHA injury and illness records, and
  • Establishments with 20-249 employees classified in specific industries with historically high rates of occupational injuries and illnesses.

Establishments that have yet to submit their data (which was due by March 2) must submit their Form 300A to OSHA’s Injury Tracking Application (ITA).
