CVSA adds two new Inspection Bulletins

Topics include ELDs and CDL driver medical certification

Posted January 8, 2018

Two new Inspection Bulletins were added for certified roadside inspectors to reference, according to the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA).

During CVSA’s Board of Directors Meeting, which met in December, the Board voted to add the new documents and update existing Inspection Bulletins.

Additions to the lineup include:

  • 2017-05 – Hand-Held and Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) Inspection Bulletin; and
  • 2017-04 – Medical Certification Information Available in Nlets Inspection Bulletin.

CVSA also communicated that it:

  • Updated its existing bulletin, 2012-05 – Automatic On-Board Recording Devices (AOBRDs) Inspection Bulletin; and
  • Made available the 2018-01 – Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) Agreement Enforcement Bulletin for 2018 Registration Year.

CVSA-certified roadside inspectors are instructed to use the most up-to-date version of each bulletin. The current versions of the inspection bulletins are available on CVSA’s website.
