We’ve heard from drivers who aren’t sure if their device needs to be compliant with the ELD mandate or with the AOBRD regulations,” said Tom Reader, director of marketing for ELDs at J. J. Keller. “We added this webcast as one more way to help drivers as they become accustomed to roadside inspections.”

In addition, J. J. Keller has established a special Roadside Inspection Help Line. If drivers at a roadside inspection have questions about whether their device is under ELD or AOBRD rules, they can call the company’s specialists at 1-855-215-3637.

“While we answer questions about the rules for ELD or AOBRD devices, we also emphasize the importance of each driver having their driver’s license, carrier DOT number, ELD user name and company name in the system,” said Reader. “Not having this information in the system can cause delays or issues. We want to make a successful roadside inspection as easy as possible.”
