Hand and Power Tools for Construction – Online Training Course

Whether using a simple screwdriver or a power saw, today's construction industry cannot function without tools. No matter how simple or sophisticated, all tools can be hazardous when used improperly. The old saying, "the right tool for the job" still applies.

This training is designed to address the importance of guarding, personal protective equipment, and safe work practices when using hand and power tools on a jobsite.

After completing this training, learners will be able to:

• Recognize the hazards associated with different types of tools.
• Discuss the basic safety rules for operating hand and power tools.
• Identify methods to prevent injury from specific hand and power tools.
