Corrective Action Training: Using SDSs for Chemical Safety – Online Training Course

This Corrective Action Training module provides workers with remedial training related to using Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for chemical safety. Specifically, this training is designed to help construction workers learn the purpose of an SDS, the information in an SDS, how to use SDSs, and how to find SDSs in the workplace.

• Explain the purpose of an SDS and the importance of consulting an SDS before using a chemical.
• Recognize the information an SDS provides and some of the SDS sections.
• Locate SDSs within the workplace.
• Describe the steps to take if an SDS is not available or not understood.
