Successful commercial motor drivers must do all that they can to properly secure cargo in dry van trailers. Poorly secured cargo can result in damage to cargo or vehicles, delays due to roadside enforcement, and potential accidents that can cause injuries or even loss of life.

To avoid problems, dry van drivers must be able to position and secure their cargo properly. They must also understand the regulations and recognize the potential hazards related to cargo securement.
