Healthcare ETS coming back?
March 8, 2022
It’s a long shot, but a group of nurses and other interested parties have gotten their day in court, after filing a petition to force OSHA to reinstate the Healthcare Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) for COVID-19. The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals agreed to hear oral arguments on the merits of the case. The arguments will be held April 4.
In the meantime, since withdrawing the ETS in late-December of 2021, OSHA has been working on a permanent standard for Healthcare. The Agency estimated it would take 6 to 9 months to complete that process.
