FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (January 21, 2019)

Tier II Reporting Process Simplified by J.J. Keller Service

The Tier II Reporting Service from J.J. Keller & Associates, Inc. helps companies complete reporting by the March 1, 2019 deadline.

Neenah, WI - By March 1 of each year, all facilities with one or more hazardous chemicals covered under OSHA’s Hazardous Communication Standard are required to submit Tier II forms reporting their chemical inventory data to local fire departments, emergency planning committees, and state emergency response commissions. To help these facilities ensure that their information is submitted accurately and on time, J.J. Keller offers its Tier II Reporting Service.

“The Tier II reporting process can be a real challenge for companies, because first they have to know the reporting chemical threshold quantities based on how hazardous the chemical is,” said Steve Murray, vice president of editorial & consulting services at J.J. Keller. “Then, they have to fill out all of the reporting elements, which include facility information, chemical descriptions and constituents, chemical health hazards, storage types and locations, and more. By having our regulatory Consultants handle it all, we ensure everything is reported accurately and on time.”

Tier II reporting is required under section 312 of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) for the purpose of providing state and local officials and the public with information on the hazardous chemicals being stored in their communities.
