OSHA encourages participation in Safe + Sound Week

Campaign intended to raise awareness, understanding of the value of safety and health programs

Posted March 8, 2019

OSHA encourages organizations of any size in any industry to participate in its nationwide event scheduled for August 12-18, 2019. Safe + Sound Week is intended to raise awareness and understanding of the value of safety and health programs that include management leadership, worker participation, and a systematic approach to finding and fixing hazards in the workplace.

OSHA notes that its website provides examples of activities and tools to help organizations plan and promote their events, as well as a certificate and web badge that can be downloaded to recognize employees and organizations once the event is completed.
