FMCSA seeking input on operating authority application process

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announced its plan to submit the Information Collection Request (ICR) titled, “Licensing Applications for Motor Carrier Operating Authority,” to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval and is inviting comments from the public.
The FMCSA is requesting approval to renew the ICR which is used by for-hire motor carriers of regulated commodities, motor passenger carriers, freight forwarders, property brokers, and certain Mexico-domiciled motor carriers to register their operations with the FMCSA.
Comments are due to FMCSA on or before October 11, 2016. You may submit comments identified by Federal Docket Management System (FDMS) Docket Number FMCSA-2016-0194 to the Federal eRulemaking Portal.
