Each year during the CVSA Roadcheck event, tens of thousands of inspections are conducted. Roadcheck 2014 is going to be different from past years.

On average, about three times as many inspections are done each day during Roadcheck than on any other day. Now is the time to prepare for Roadcheck 2014 to make sure your drivers and vehicles are operating safely.

Why should you take Roadcheck 2014 seriously?

Consider this… during Roadcheck 2013:

  • 73,023 inspections were conducted
  • 1,471 motorcoaches were inspected during Roadcheck this year
  • Of the Level I inspections conducted in Canada and the U.S., 24.1% were found with Out-of-Service (OOS) violations
  • Cargo securement-related violations represented 11.7% of all OOS violations
  • 49.6% of vehicle OOS violations were related to brake adjustment and other brake system violations
  • The driver out-of-service rate was 4.3%
  • 899 seatbelt violations issued
