Overview

OSHA 10 General Industry acts as a solid introduction to common occupational safety concepts and workplace hazards. It is ideal and often required for many frontline workers who need to show proof of completion of a training course by an authorized OSHA outreach.

The 10-hour course is intended for the general workforce, while the 30-hour class is more appropriate for supervisors and workers with some safety responsibility. Your employer should tell you if one course or the other is preferred or required.

This program is provided by Summit Training Source, an authorized online training provider for this OSHA 10-hour General Industry Course.  4-6 weeks after completion of all course requirements the learner will receive a plastic wallet DOL/OSHA 10-Hour completion card by mail.

  • Audience: While this program is ideal for most work environments, workers in construction should take the OSHA 10-hour Construction program.

Special Requirements:

To comply with OSHA’s requirements for offering this program, there are some special considerations:

  • Learner will need to register a valid mailing address to receive their completion card
  • Learner can spend no more than 7.5 hours training in any 10-hour period
  • Learner can spend no more than 10 hours training in any 16-hour period
  • Learner must train on at least two calendar days to complete.
