UCR 2019-2020 fees announced, filing expected to start soon

FMCSA announced the United Carrier Registration (UCR) registration fees for 2019 and 2020

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announced the United Carrier Registration (UCR) registration fees for 2019 and 2020. Motor carriers can expect to start filing for 2019 in the coming days. Once filing opens, carriers will have 90 days to complete the filing.

Fees instituted for the 2019 registration year will be reduced by 18.62 percent below the 2017 registration fee level. For 2020 and beyond registration, the fees will be reduced by 9.9 percent below 2017 standards.

The reduction of the 2019 registration fees range from $11 to $10,282 per company, depending on the number of vehicles owned or operated by the entity. The reduction in fees for subsequent years will range from $4 to $3,565 per entity.

Leasing companies (not operating vehicles) and brokers pay UCR fees in the lowest fee bracket.

The 2019 and 2020 fees are as follows:
