President Trump to nominate Scott A. Mugno as head of OSHA

Nominee directs workplace health and safety programs for large national company

On October 27, President Donald Trump announced his intent to nominate Scott A. Mugno to serve as the Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA. Mugno is currently the Vice President for Safety, Sustainability, and Vehicle Maintenance at FedEx Ground in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Mugno previously worked as the Managing Director for FedEx Express, Corporate Safety, Health, and Fire Protection in Memphis, Tennessee. While there, his responsibilities included developing, promoting, and facilitating the safety and health program and culture.

Mr. Mugno also has legal experience as a Division Counsel at Westinghouse Electric Corporation’s Waste Isolation Division and as Deputy Staff Judge Advocate for the Eastern Region U.S. Army Military Traffic Management Command, as well as other legal positions in the U.S. Army JAG Corps.
