J. J. Keller North Park Building

Neenah, WI — J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc.®, along with SLA (Special Libraries Association) is pleased to honor four early-career information professionals with the 2012 Rising Star Award.

The Rising Star Award, now in its fourth year, is presented annually to SLA members who are in their first five years of membership. Winners must demonstrate exceptional promise of leadership and contribution to SLA and the information profession.

"The term ‘SLA Rising Star’ is becoming a cherished and exciting honor in SLA’s community,” said SLA President Brent Mai. “I’m thrilled to see that this class represents what the award is all about – recognizing the superb talent that exists within the information profession, and recognizing the individuals who have wasted no time in becoming invaluable contributors to the field and to SLA. We’ve got a lot to look forward to, and I thank J. J. Keller for their support of a great program."

Davis Erin Anderson, Janel Kinlaw, Moy McIntosh, and Chris Zammarelli will receive their awards at the SLA Annual Conference & INFO-EXPO, July 15-18, 2012 in Chicago. The Rising Stars will also take part in the 3rd SLA Rising Stars-SLA Fellows Roundtable, to be held at the conference. Webb Shaw, Vice President — Editorial Resources at J. J. Keller, will moderate the roundtable.

"Rising Star Award recipients form a bright constellation of achievement and leadership in the information profession,” said Shaw. “J. J. Keller is proud to help recognize their accomplishments — and encourage their continued initiative — by sponsoring the award."
