March 2010 Update

The March printing of the FMCSR Pocketbook contains the following revisions:

  • Added an Editor's Note that the exemption for small for-hire passenger-carrying vehicles will be eliminated effective May 3, 2010, (Section 390.3(f)(6)(ii).
February 2010 Update

The February printing of the FMCSR Pocketbook contains the following revisions:

  • Added fifth marking option in Section 390.21(g) for identifying intermodal equipment.
  • Added Editor’s Notes for Sections 396.9(d), 396.11(a)(2) and 396.12(a), (c), and (d) to note that compliance with these intermodal equipment requirements is required by June 30, 2010.
September 2009 Update

The September printing of the FMCSR Pocketbook:

  • Contains the following regulation change: Revised Section 40.67(b) to make direct observation mandatory for specimen collection of all return-to-duty and follow-up tests. The revision is effective August 31, 2009.

June 2009 Update

The June printing of the FMCSR Pocketbook:

  • Contains all the regulation changes regarding intermodal equipment requirements.
February 2009 Update

The February printing of the FMCSR Pocketbook:

  • Regulation changes to Parts 387 and 390 regarding stricter audit criteria for new motor carrier audits.
January 2009 Update

The January printing of the FMCSR Pocketbook:

  • Regulation changes to Parts 383, 384, 390, and 391 on merging the medical exam card with the commercial driver’s license (CDL).
