The EEOC has released a new Equal Employment Opportunity is the Law (EEO) posting for
2009 to add information about the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008
(GINA),
effective November 21, 2009. As a result of GINA, employers are
prohibited from basing employment decisions on an individual’s genetic information.

The state of Nevada has updated its Rules to be Observed by Employers (NV Wage and Hour
Laws) notice with mandatory changes. The state's minimum wage will increase from $5.85
to $6.55 per hour for employers providing health benefits and from $6.85 per hour to
$7.55 per hour for employers not providing health benefits, effective July 1, 2009.
