Train your supervisors to help keep impaired drivers off the road!
According to 49 CFR §382.603, all persons designated to supervise drivers must receive
at least "60 minutes of training on alcohol misuse and 60 minutes on controlled
substance use." Help satisfy this requirement with A Supervisor’s Guide to
Reasonable Suspicion Testing!
This flexible training tool includes the following:
- (1) 20-minute, closed-captioned video - Available on DVD, the program clearly
explains the concept of "reasonable suspicion." Uses several real-life scenarios
supervisors could face, including “refusal to submit to a drug & alcohol test.” Also
includes information on physical behavior, speech and
performance indicators of probable alcohol misuse or drug abuse, as required by 49 CFR
§382.603.
- (1) Trainer Tools CD-ROM - CD-ROM features supplementary information,
including content for audiovisual presentations/handouts, quizzes, answer keys, clip
art, posters, and a training log. These items can be used as-is, customized, or imported
into PowerPoint® presentations. The minimum computer system requirements for the Trainer
Tools CD-ROM are Office 2000, with Word, and Internet Explorer version 5.5. (CD-ROM not
sold separately.)
- (1) Trainer’s Guide - Features answer keys to workbook tests and exercises.
- (6) Supervisor Workbooks - Contain 40 pages of pre- and post-tests and
new learning activity scenarios, plus a tear-out receipt page.
- (6) Certificates of
Completion - Provide a quick, easy way to prove that required training has been
completed.
- (6) Observed Behavior Reasonable Suspicion Record Forms - Help document a
reasonable suspicion testing situation per 49 CFR §382.307, which requires that a
